WOW. For a first try - no, any try, this is a great looking knife. Well done! My first one is useful for scooping kitty litter...

That would be the best first knife I've seen in a long time. Keep up the good work.
All the best,
Bruce

I really wouldn't call that a wee forge. I use forges made from freon tanks for most of my general work and actually have done blades as long as 48" (not the HT but the forging process). I have put two end to end to HT 16"-18" blades as well. Can be done.
One your size will handle a pretty good size blade if you practice a bit.

I'm already thinking about my next forge build from a 30lb Freon tank. I like the shape for a forge as it's longer and more narrow than a propane tank. I've also got a 125 lb freon tank that is about 3 feet long, but that's a little ambitious for now. At this point I'll focus on a blown burner for the Wee forge and building a grinder. Hopefully I'll make a few knives at the same time

Thank you all again for the kind words and feedback, I appreciate your efforts. I look forward to seeing more of your works, newbies and pros, it's very inspiring for me.
