I've not done this but there is something to applying a little Loctite or epoxy to the threads. However, I've never heard of anyone having a problem with any of the bolts wanting to unscrew. As far as putting glue on the outside of the bolts, I think the mechanical attachment would be stronger than the epoxy.

The only reason I would use some epoxy on them would be to creat a better seal that's all. Either way I doubt they would ever come loose.

I apply resin to them simply because I already have the resin sitting there mixed up. No idea if its needed, but I figure it can't hurt.

If you do put some on just put a dab. The first few times I did it I really gooped up the threads then when I was putting things together I found the with that much resin the air inside the Corby can't easily escape when you tighten it. It was basically a pneumatic spring trying to push the 2 halves back apart, it was hard to tighten down, and would even unscrew itself like 1/4 turn. With just a dab it allows the air to easily escape and you won't have that problem.
