(Re)introduction

Please allow me to reintroduce myself....

Bruce Bump started a great thread on another forum and it got me to thinking..... Since I joined this forum before I ever thought of making or selling a knife, I used a nickname that fit my current and past professions. Now that I'm interested in becoming a little better known in the community, it makes sense to let all of you know just who I am.

So, the big kahuna of this forum graciously allowed me to change my username from PropellerHead (computer geek and former helicopter pilot) to Mike Routen (newbie knife maker).

I've done more lurking than posting over the last year, but hopefully I've built up a little smarts over that time and can now begin to help out others who are starting down our chosen path.

Thanks for letting me ramble on. All of you here have made a huge impact on my life over the last year and have allowed me to finally find my creative outlet!

I like real names too. I have no problem with forum names, but I recommend signing off with AT LEAST a first name attached to a sig line or signed on a post.
