Epoxy line question

When clamping and epoxing on the handle scales, I always wipe off the squeeze out between the handle scales and blade with alcohol while the epoxy is wet.
Dunno what the distraction was but on the last knife being finished now, I neglected to do that and have a bead of hardened epoxy at that juncture. Any tips for getting that off without marring the blade with scratches? I can very carefully use an engraving tool and cut it off but just wondering if anyone has some "trade secret". Thanks in advance.

Get you a piece of. Brass and bevel you an edge. The brass will cut and not scratch the steel being softer.

A piece of sharpened micarta, or hardwood works pretty well also.
