Here is a few more.

Here is a couple more. The first is a hunter with a mirror polished 13c26 blade at 60RC
with an elk stag handle and butt cap.

The second is a bowie knife of my own design. Mirror polished ats-34 at 60-61 RC and a burl iron wood handle

Sorry about the contrast on the bowie picture. It's hard to get a good pic of the handle without washing out the blade...

Good looking knives. I like the hunter myself.

I like both of those, I really love the guard and handle work on the Bowie.

Can I ask how the handle and bolster is fitted, and how did you come up with that design on the guard?

I love the work, Thank You For Sharing.

Jeff

Well thank you for the compliment. I had help from srj with the design of the guard. I'm not sure what he calls the actual design. Maybe a lugged guard? To attach it i fit it up as close as I can, then peen the metal on the underside of the guard onto the tang. That way it stays put while I solder it. After it's solderd it is boiled in baking soda water and some dish soap. Then if there are any spaces on the under side of the guard they are filled in with jb weld. The handle is held on by cutting notches in the tang and fitting it in the wood as tightly as possible. Then it's all held together with some pop's epoxy.
Hope this helps.
And by the way both knives are avalible for sale at arizonacustomknives.com. Just type larsen into the search bar.
