Recomendations please!!
Can you guys help me locate a good gunsmith who can handle dis-assembly and re-assemble,polishing to mirror brite finish,stripping,re-blueing of carbon steel and stainless steel guns.S&W's ,Colt's , Rugers, ect....?...at a reasonable price?

The guy I use is really good but he is half way across the country from you. I don't know anyone in the east coast area.

I suggest you talk to some of the folks at local shooting ranges (or shooting clubs, if they have them in that area). Quality gunsmiths are like quality engravers - their work comes by reputation and is spread by word of mouth, not in advertising. You might also contact the NRA. Their local rep might have some contacts.

I would suggest that you go the www.fega.com site and ask some one there . also the person I use is Turnbull restoration in bloomfield n. y. his phone # is 716-657-6338

Thanks guys. I had contacted Turnbull restorations and Doug told me that he does not polish S&W's or stainless steel. He just handles the blueing and color case hardening. One of my customers contacted me with info on a gunsmith that he uses,i will be calling him in the morning. thanks again.
