Austin,

Always a good time at Bowie's. :-) Good to see you there. Nice turn out this year.

That was some nice wood you gave. That was you right? I wanted that pocketknife or hatchet.

Ya, that was me. Kind of nice, after eight years it was my year to be a big winner at the Iron in the Hat. The hawk and pocket knife are excellent... of course, the biggest 'winning' is getting to see old friends and talk bladesmithing. My wife and I wouldn't miss it for the world.

Actually, I gave the pocket knife to Wayne. He is a friend. It was a thank you for a thoughtful gesture he made for my wife and I. He's a great guy.

Good to see both of Y'all, and I had a ball too. It's kind of like the old Rondevou to me, and I really enjoyed seeing everyone again. Good to see you win big at the iron in the hat Dan, and good to meet you Austin. Ron unselfishly invited me to work with him in the early nineties, to teach me how to make Damascus, and we have been great friends ever since.
