How do I create a border?
How can I create a border around my picture in Photoshop? Like a small frame outline. There is a way to do it in PhotoDeluxe, but I don't want to jump around program to program. Terrill does it, and so does Bob Doggett. I can't figure it out.
Different program only? Anyone have ideas? Coop |

yep, easy....grab the rectangular marquee tool (looks like a square-shaped dotted outline), then drag it from corner to corner of your image....you should see a "dancing" dotted outline at this point. then, set your foreground color to whatever color you want the border to be, go to "edit," then choose "stroke," and select how many pixels you want the outline to be in thickness....then hit ok and you're done.

I used layers for the multiple line look of my photo frame.

WOW! I just played around and made a fun mess!!! It works!
MUCH cleaner and more sharp than anything I'd done before. I used the eyedropper tool to get an accent color sample and that makes a difference too! Like Siggi said--who'd a figured that out? Not me! Thanks, Daniel and Bob! Coop |
