Heat elements positioning
Hi all,
Does anyone know if the heat elements in a vertical heat treatment kiln can be placed upright (vertically). Most of the vertical kilns that I find photos have the resistances mounted horizontally. Why? |

When you say "resistances", I will assume you are speaking of the Heating Elements? If so, the reason you see them mounted that way is simple. In this situation, and most others, heat always travels up. In a vertical kiln placing the heating elements horizontally, ensures a much more even heating than if the elements were place vertically. __________________ WWW.CAFFREYKNIVES.NET Caffreyknives@gmail.com "Every CHOICE has a CONSEQUENCE, and all your CONSEQUENCES are a result of your CHOICES." |
