Finished With First Dagger...

...and pretty happy with how it turned out.

Used maroon micarta scales with stainless pins even though pics don't reflect color too well.

Profile and initial bevel grinds.

After heat treat, tempering and etching. Hand polished with Flitz.

Finished knife. Sanded scales to 600 and hand polished with Flitz.

Nice straight grind line. Overall a nice knife. Hard to get that line with a hollow grind.

I bet. I have a hard enough time with flat grinds, not ready to tackle hollow grinds yet. One day though.

Thanks for the compliment.

Yep, that turned out well. I'm no fan of daggers but I think you nailed the grind on that and what little I know of it, it is very difficult to get those grinds that even and symmetrical. It is an overall beautiful job in my opinion!

Thanks for comments.

After handling dagger, I realized I need to redesign handle a bit. It feels a little small in the hands but that shouldn't be too difficult since I store designs in the computer.

I think I'm also going to try dtec1's idea and add bolsters to the next one.

Ah, but next project is another paring knife so it may be awhile before I get to it.

Thanks again for comments.
