Most of my experience is with firearms especially pistols .
Be careful, patient , keep file clean and go bit by bit. I think the finest is 50 lpi and coarsest 18 lpi. The finest is for the top of a rifle of pistol barrel to eliminate reflections. The coarsest to give a firm grip .Some you pick because of thin material like the BHP frontstrap. You can also decorate - just parallel lines , 90 degree checker, 45 degree checker . Be creative. Challenge will come when you are doing a straight section which then curves .Have fun. |
