Sheffields 52100 bars
Has anyone tried Sheffields 52100 barstock yet?? 1/8"x1.5x72 for $21.50? How is the quality and consistency? I do stock removal and would love to use this steel, but was concerned on the quality. Anyone try this stuff yet?? Does it have a lot of scale? Thanks!

52100
I have used quite a bit of the 3/4" round stock, and have had good luck with the quality. The slag is not bad and it heat treats well.

I tried the flat bar on a stock removal blade, but I ground too thin and cracked it in the quench. I haven't used any since.
