logo design

I had a bunch of buisness cards made a few months ago but not happy my logo design. Now that I'm getting stuff ready for my first show the end of next month I was thinking about having a hat and maybe a T-shirt made. I also need a sign or banner of some sort for my table. So I sat down today and drew this up. let me know what you all think. I just hope it isnt too similar to anyone else.....

I like it. For hats or t-shirts you might want to add some color....

A very kind fellow took my rough drawing and made it into a very clean very professional looking logo. The people in this community never cease to amaze me with their generosity. Thank you very much
here's what he did for me

I also got a version with lighter handles and a green maple leaf and B&W version too. way better than anything I could have done for sure!

What is everyone's thoughts on having this logo for my cards and shirts/hats but just my name and location as my makers mark. I had my stencils for my mark made a few months ago and have only had to use one of them so far. If I was to use this logo as my Mark the other stencils would go to waste. Hate throwing away money like that.

I think the name and location are fine - that's what people need to know. If you tried to include the graphic too you might find it difficult to get a good burn ....

That was my thinking too but on KD I'm being told it makes no sense to have one logo on my cards and stuff and a different Mark on my knives

Well, that's why they're called opinions I guess. I would suggest that it does make sense since you probably couldn't burn a logo that complicated dependably. The important part is that the logos contain the same information. I've heard that Google is working on a way to search by graphics but it hasn't happened yet. So, as long as the logos will lead to you it's all good.

I agree that to avoid confusion you wouldn't want to use 10 different logos but you're talking about using only ONE logo on your knives and ONE slightly enhanced logo on your cards and displays with both logos containing the same information. I'm only guessing here but I'm betting even someone educated in today's public schools could probably understand what you're doing and why ....

Actually if you go to google image search you can drag an image into the search and it will use it to search.
