Thanks again! You are the one maker who has answered all of my posts with the most useful and timesaving information!! (I really can't tell you how much time your input on shaping the blank by drilling holes and using a hacksaw have saved me.) I have my O1 ordered and can't wait to give this a try!

If you are in an area where you can have a charcoal barbecue grill and run a hairdryer, you can have a forge.

Whether the sound of hammering will annoy neighbors to the pint of preventing you doing any forging or not, this is nevertheless yet another means of being able to do your own heat treatment.
