Moving Some Steel
I started with 5 inches of 3/4 round 5160.
Here's the knife. OAL- 11 inches Steel- Precision hand forged 5160 Handle- Ebonized maple with woven cotton cord wrapping. End piece- Steel |

Tai,
Your forging has a full tang, and the finished has a hidden tang. Just curious what drove the change? Was it the perfect handle Material? Maybe the full tang just didn't fit your eye? Looks great as is, but I can se it with the full tang also. Just curious. |

It's a 2/3 "full tang". It seats into a slot in the wood and is epoxied and pinned. The flat tang and internal construction is hidden by the wrapping. It's a stud type end piece.
