Hiya Skippy..., and Happy Holidays...
I may have missed something in another thread, but what type of Balisong are you talking about? A Typhoon Kit? Or "other"?? __________________ Pete Johnston ~~> ExamonLyf@aol.com "There is no greater wisdom.., than [KINDNESS]" "Hunters seek what they [WANT].., Seekers hunt what they [NEED]" |

Are you using the nylon (or nylatron) washers that comes with the kit, or the Phosphor-Bronze washers from the Knife Kits site? I've never had a problem with pivot tension on either Typhoons or the Tsunami, but I do always use the P-B washers.
Try counting your turns putting the pivot screws in ~~> and tighten them down TOO TIGHT (equal number of thread-turns on each side). [Then].., back off each side a quarter turn at a time until the knife "flips" well (making sure you have a bit of lube on both sides). Take the pivot screws OUT, and LOC-TITE them back in using the same number of thread-turns you measured during your test-run. That should do it... __________________ Pete Johnston ~~> ExamonLyf@aol.com "There is no greater wisdom.., than [KINDNESS]" "Hunters seek what they [WANT].., Seekers hunt what they [NEED]" |

I have no problem with the typhoon with PB washer too. Just the screw that without loctite don't want to stay in place. But the kit is easy to adjust. For the nylon washer i don't know.
