Darryl-- Thats a great looking knife and the figure on that wood is awesome.

Can you tell us a little about the knife, is the wood stabilized? etc

Thanks

Brian from Toronto

Hi Brian:

Yes the wood is stabilized.. I bought it from Jeff Doite (i have a few of his knives as well) I have to admit.. I was very nervous when I ordered it.. wood is so hard to describe over the phone.. but I had bought some burl from him at the spring show.. so I knew that when he said it was great stuff, that it was..!!

Good Eye.. yes there are hints of purple in there.. the burl when it was origingally died, contained purple and green highlights.. it was more obvious with the untouched blocked, but they became a lot lighter once worked on (better in my opinion)
