New Smoker

Here is a new pipehawk i just finished. Forged from 5/8" round twist damascus stock deep etched then all the oxides were buffed off.
It is 17" from tip to tip and the head is 6" with a 1 1/2" edge the fittings are ivory.
Thanks for looking and your comments.

Bob

I've recently acquired quite an affinity for pipe hawks and this is a great example of what attracted me in the first place. It's a simple usefull tool with some fun built in. I think this size would be perfect for backpacking. You did a nice job of keeping the overall design and filework simple and let the damascus do the talking. Extremely nice work!

That is fantastic!

Stunning maple, but the real achievement in my opinion is the finish on the pattern weld. It looks like steel!

Too many damascus blades look like they have painted black patterns on them. A deep etch and a manly trip to the buffer gives topography, depth, shadow... simply outstanding!

I love an unapologetic statement like the one this steel finish makes--not begging for a second look--DEMANDING one... with cool confidence.

I am inspired!

I agree with Andy, and while not being a big damascus aficionado, I do like the look you achieved. As a whole I think it is a very nice package..Bud

Wow Bob , Nice piece. That damascus really pops. Nicely executed and great fit and finish. Are you going to be at the Toronto CKG show in October?
