50-1940 Weaver Deglazer(page 195)

Harness needle 1 and 0
#245 Osbone Belt punch 1/4" diam.
CS0925 Skife knife (page 233)
65-2975 3" trimming knife (page 232)

I have not found any Stitch Groover like the one that Chuck is uing in his video in the catalog.

Did I miss anything? Will I need other tools?

They have only prewaxed thread. Chuck recommends getting regular and waxing yourself. Is it important?

Yes. They wouldn't send me a catalog if I didn't give then a retailer permit number.

Waxed thread nearly doubles the weight of the thread thus halving the length you buy---that is one of the reasons it makes sense to wax your own thread. It only takes a second! Thread now sells for almost $40.00 a pound in Barbours linen.

Weaver Leather doesn't have Stitch Groovers.
What do recommend for me to get?

Alex -
you can get both the Barbours linen thread. It's now about $50.00 for a one pound spool. I'd get 5 cord which is 1076 yards worth - YEARS worth of thread - left or right hand twist doesn't matter for hand sewing. They also carry the full line of C. S. Osborne tools, needles, etc., including the stitch groover. They also carry Wickett-Craig Leather (my favorite and what Paul and Sandy use as well) at the same price as the factory. It comes in sides only, but they carry the specials as well as the regular line (I get the 8/9 oz backs - a bit more expensive but no belly scrap - if they don't have 7/8 oz get 8/9 oz). Give Tom and the gang a call - great folks to work with. For me it's become one stop shopping since the shipping is less from there in Oklahoma to here in Colorado.

Just realized you live in California - check out www.siegelofca.com as anotehr source for supplies and tools - since you have a resale ####### they'll send you a wholesale price catalog of tools, supplies, leathers and they have wekly sales.
For the BEST tools check out Jeremiah Watt at www.ranch2arena.com - they're down at Coachella, CA - not cheap but the BEST of the BEST (Jeremiah is a saddle maker so he knows good tools)

I got lucky enuff to score 2 unopened spools of Barbours , 1 natural 5 strand for $25 and 1 black 7 strand for $15... should last me forever.

Has anyone else had trouble with the leather from Siegels taking a light color dye ? I can get it to take black , but nothing light like british tan.
