Antique knife??
Could anyone tell me what this knife is? It was found in medicine hat in a wall over 45 years ago and we have no clue how old it is. Has awesome design on the leather sheath and up and down the blade of the knife. It is still insanly sharp.

Wowzie!! I've never seen anything like that! Must have been the king's dagger.
Anyway, it's a beautiful piece of art.

I'm not really qualified to estimate the age, bu it looks like a nice example.

I'm no expert either but it's also very possible this is a mid-20th century creation - just based on past discussions I've read about similar ethnic blades. Such creations appealed to travelers, especially Western or European - not 'tourists' but rather folks who had a reason to visit the region for business, military, diplomatic or any number of things. Again, I'm not an expert - just a knife nut who reads a lot.

Do you mean hidden in a wall? If that's what you mean I wonder why?
