New to the group and lost
can anyone help me find the best "Cheapest" place to buy 2x72 inch belts. a friend just gave me an old Grizzley grinder but no belts. what type of belts work the best. Moving up from a hf 1x30. I don't know how to start a thread?? sorry and I live in Abilene KS

You don't want the cheapest, they will just wear out or break before you even get started using them. tru-grit.com has the broadest selection of belts and prices are as good as you will find anywhere. I suggest you start with 60 Grit VSM belts for the rough grinding, then some Norton 120 and 220 grit to refine the finish, and stop with some Hermes 400 grit for the final finish (unless you want to do some hand sanding). If you try to skimp on belts you will only be hurting yourself (and that could be literal as dull belts are dangerous).

for my grizzly and they work great. |

I will add a third. I buy my belts from Trugrit. I will tell you that you can call them and they will help you out. They are great guys at the shop and do their best to help you.
