Forging Videos Now Available

My forging videos are in two volumes.
Volume I - Forging Cable Damascus Composite Blades
Volume II - Forging Striped Cable Damascus
They are available in DVD and VHS formats.

$25.00 per volume + $5.00 S/H
Special Volume Set Discount
$40.00 for Volumes I & II when purchased together + $5.00 S/H
(The shipping for International Orders will vary based on the country of destination.)

The info in these two videos allows you to make any of the patterns you've seen me make in cable damascus.
Nickel twist, Auger damascus, striped cable, ect...

Pat has made it possible to order directly from the web site using PayPal. http://www.centercross.com/video.htm

Geno, just watched volume I and will get to volume II this weekend (on DVD which is way nice BTW). Great job. While I don't have the press you have (or the blower forge, the welder, the surface grinder, the list I'm sure could go on), I picked up enough that I see how it is done and will now have to get after it.

For anyone considering these videos, I'd say they are easily worth the money. You'll see lot's of tools you don't have. That's not what matters, it is the technique that matters and Geno does a great job of showing what you need to know.

Funny Bob.
Thanks Tracy.
And yes, this video is just a little different than the other.
It is what I call a "how do", not a "how to" video.
More simply put, it is how I do it, not a how can you do it, video, if that makes sence.
I don't expect everyone to have a "Torbo Forge" and all that.
That's why I make the blades "for" you guys who don't have all those fancy toys, yet want to play with the "big boys".
This should give any smith ideas, any want to be's aspirations, and anyone left idol, inspiration.
It's just me having fun, playing with that plain old boring cable damascus, mixing in some stripes, colors, textures, and blends, explaining how easy it is and all,you know.
I try to cover the basics like composite blades(forging the pieces together in a puzzle of steel), Bi-metalic welds(force fusion of dissimilar metal families), and of corse, Allotropic transformations in the molecular structures(heat treat).
I don't expect every viewer to produce nickel twist composite blades with auger damascus frames right off the bat. It will take a week or two to practice, but ain't it fun to know how?
