Sword

If i were to use o1 steel for a sword using stock removal isntead of forging the sword would it be as strong?

The strength, and by that I mean how tough it is and how well it holds an edge, depends on how you heat treat the steel and not the method used to shape the steel. There may be advantages to forging a sword but 99% of a blade's performance comes from the heat treat .....
