Production kitchen knife handle material?

For pocket money to pay for my knifemaking I fix handles on kitchen knives for people. Most times they end up with timber handles and are very happy with the results. Just yesterday a fellow came to see me with a Zwilling that needed a handle repair and as it is part of a set given to him, he wants the handle to match.
Does anybody know a source of the plastic handle material used on kitchen knives and what the material is called? Most of the companies seem to use the same stuff so it must be available somewhere.

Thanks
Mick
