Electro Etcher Voltage? - 12 or 24
Hello Folks,
I am making an electro etcher. Should I make it a 12 or 24 volt unit and why. Also how many amps should the transformer be capable of handling. Thanks in advance __________________ Walt |

The standard Etch-O-Matic uses 12v AC and 6V DC (you need both). Not sure about the wattage but its modest, less than 2A I think. Some etchers do use 24v AC and 12V DC and higher wattage but it isn't necessary for the type of marking we do ...
