Couple of problems:

The voltage scale shows a huge range of voltage but I don't see a way to control the output.

Volatge range goes far too high for an etcher. 12 to 25 V is on mine, maybe some might be double that but more than that would burn the edges of your images.

It's only DC, you need both DC and AC to make an etch....

Etching machines are very basic. Here is what you need to think about.

At the business end of the wires (ground and etching pad)

You need 12V-25V and a couple of amps. You need to be able to get that in AC and DC.

That's it. It does not matter if you get that with a little transformer or with a nuclear power plant.

I have seen many people buy things they cannot use trying to get a cheap setup. That is fine as long as you understand the goal.

I personally get some pretty outrageous questions about this topic but like most other things, if you know the goal, there will be many different ways to get there.
