What material is it?

It's very hard and smooth. I got it from a machinist who manufactures medical equipment.

Hi Alexkuzn

From the photos it looks like Canvas Micarta.

Hey Guys

Phenolic is the material name..............Micarta is a brand Name

It is usually made in layers with paper, cotton (linen) or canvas and epoxy resin. There are a few threads here in the forums of custom made scales by the forumites.
