Looks good to me. The question now is whether or not the geometry is right. Will it do the fillet without letting the flexible blade 'float' (which makes a wavy cut)?
What you have is fine for the KITH. If you have an opportunity to test it for real that would be educational .....

I have embarked on the journey that is KITH! I have started the design phase, after selecting the various materials I would like to use. My hang up in design is wether or not to do a h##den tang. Personally I can’t see where a h##den tang leaves anything behind structurally, over a full tang. My question is wether or not a w##er tang will affect the function of the knife (flexibility for this exercise).
Anyone with a few fillet knives under they’re respective belt care to weigh in??

I have made fillet knives with both handle types and find no practical difference with regard to the function of the knife.......

Welcome aboard, Nate! Curious about the 'I told you so'. My company will probably leave later today or early tomorrow, any time after that would be a good time to call .....

A reminder that this KITH is due to end on Halloween. Anyone who wants to enter a knife is welcome to do so, just review the gu##elines in the first post in this thread. These KITHs are largely for beginners and to try to get people to try things - like making a flexible blade - that they may not have tried before so don't be shy. Looking forward to seeing some pictures soon .....

My knife is complete but for the life of me I can not get pictures to post. Any hints and/or suggestions along those live would be appreciated.
Also, who is still in on this one?
Later,
Kev

To post your picture start by choosing the Go Advanced button instead of the Post Quick Reply button that you normally use when posting a comment to this thread. Then, look for the Manage Attachments button on that page.
You'll also need to email the picture to me along with a statement of the steel and handle material you used and your full name(knives@rayrogers.com).
Take your picture with the knife horizontal in the frame, against a plain background, and with a ruler in the picture.
Halloween is the official end of the KITH but if anyone needs a little extra time just say so and we can arrange for an extra week or two...

Halloween has come and gone so we have reached the official end of this KITH. However, if you need another week or two to complete your knife now is the time to say so. I'll wait a few days to see if there are any replies....

Things seem to be moving slowly on this KITH but the end date is arbitrary so we can change it as required. Since we are so close to the hol##ay season let's just jump over all that and say the new deadline is Valentine's Day. As always in the past though there will be only this one extension so knuckle down and git 'er done ...

Sure, ion fact the only way to get a knife officially entered into the KITH is to email the pictures to me at knives@rayrogers.com Include a brief description of the materials used in the knife....
