Oven Tempering At Less Than 700F.
Question: Where can I buy a small electric heat treat furnace capable of 600F? All I need is something that will handle a flat spring that is 1/2" x 1/8" x 4". I am working with C1080 carbon steel, so time is not a factor--only the 600F temperature. And going above 700F is of no interest, and adds no value to me. Your suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Time VS Temperature
Since time is not a factor to you, would you consider tempering longer at 500F? If so, your kitchen oven might go high enough for your application. What ever you can do at 600F you can do at 500F if given more time at temperature.
