What do you think of this?
This is the last knife of this set of the same design. It's actually the one I broke the tip off of and decided to finish it up anyway to do some testing with. Well, it turned out actually not too bad so I decided to keep and use it myself. Actually I kind of like the reground tip better than the original one.
This is my first try with spacers under my handle scales and also my first try with a single piece, fold-over, whatever you call it type kydex sheath. Let me know what you think. I didn't put quite as much effort into the finish, and I've been using it for the last couple of days, so you might notice some scrapes and scratches. mk1.jpg mk2.jpg mk3.jpg |

cb,
You did an excellent job on that one! I also like the re-ground tip shape better and the the blade also has a slight recurve that I really like. Nice clean look with the spacers too. Kudos! __________________ Stay away from fast women and slow horses |

Thanks for the compliments.
The pins are micarta. It's kind of funny how the tip worked out. I ground the spine way too thin towards the tip on this one. Just to prove to myself it was too weak I jammed it into a piece of wood and it snapped off. I didn't even intentionally regrind it. I put it on the belt to sharpen it so I could use it for some cutting performance tests and the edge just kind of blended into the spine at the tip. I think it was magic, but I haven't decided for sure. |
