Hi TJ

Just spotted your question on temperature controler for my HT furnace.

I have built my control based on a Desin BS-1100 digital control. This drives a relay with wide spaced contacts rated at 16 amps. You have to use a slave relay as the relay in the desin is only rated at a few amps.

Here is a link to a site I found using google. scroll down the page and you will find the Desin BS-1100 and a PDF file with all the info.

BTW I got my control of Ebay for arround $40.00 or less.

Hope this helps. If you want more info please shout up..

Best regards

Andy..

Thanks Andy
I bought a control an Aubrins sly on ebay and am trying to figure how to set it up.
Can't get power to the relay. I think it's set up as normally off. So am looking for the right combo to make it normally on. And if that don't work i"ll try the opposite.
All greek to me. I can set the disired temp the T C reads the ambient temp. I just can't get any output to the relay.
Still trying
Take Care

Hi TJ

I might be wrong in how I've interpreted your reply but here goes.

You won't get any power out of the control to power up another relay. The internal relay in your control is only a switch,. you have to use this as a switch to turn on the slave relay coil that then switches your elements.

I'm sorry if i've over simplified this but it's the only way I can explain!!

Hope this helps,

Andy.

Thanks Andy Thats what I came up with. Kinda have to kick myself for not spending another 40 $ and getting one that will ramp.
The one I have shows disired temp and current temp with an alarm that goes of when you reach disired temp. Looks like it will work.
Take Care and Thanks
TJ
