Smile Just finished

While I was at blade I purchased a EV-4N1 knife Kit from TX knife makers supply. I also purchased some cocobolo scales for the knife. Well, with the help of Bobby Toole(guild member) ,my teacher, I completed the knife. It turned out great, I really didn't like the bead blasted bolsters so I put nice satin finish on them. I think it works a lot better with knife. I will post a pic soon.

I am not sure if he even posts on this site ,but I still like to say thanks for you help.

Hey Austin-

Congrats on the completed EV4N1...
You're lucky to have found one of those kits. (I think I saw one EV kit at Blade...sitting on RW Wilson's table). The EV has always been one of my favorites. Since they're not being made any more, the EV4N1 is now on the "endangered species" list.

Although he's been mentioned here once or twice, I don't believe Bobby is a member. Your very fortunate to have such a skilled mentor...

Looking forward to the pics.

Well I was not able to get a pic of the knife because I gave it to a friend for a gift(his birthday). I will have to say this that have is well built. I am going to order few more kits in order to practice working with the handles and different materials.

Dennis I dont think he is member I will try to get on here though. Bobby is very skilled I baught a few knives from him before I asked him to teach(butter him up a little) but in all seriousnous he is a great guy. I can't wait to get my hands on a grinder and start learning. I have bitten by the bug.

peace

william
