Question Prefered voltage for stencil marking unit.

What is the prefered voltage for stencil life. I am using 24 volts now. I see the professional units rated at different voltage levels. Any comments on a voltage level for stencil life.

I have just completed my stencil box waiting on supplies to come. Then to start expiermenting. Thanks for all the good stencil making ideas....Chuck.

I run mine at 6V AC for about 15 seconds. I usually get about 300 impressions per stencil.

Lightbulb

Thanks George for your reply. Perhaps 24 volts is to high. I just happened to have a 0- 120 varible transformer when I built my unit and I chose 24 volts because that is what another knife maker I know used. Six volts no doubt would be kinder to the stencil. You say you use 15 seconds. Is that one or multiple times. Thanks..Chuck.

Single impression but rocking the pad to avoid bubbles which leave white spots on the impression.
