Question Info on leather sheath books or DVDs

What's the best knife sheath book or DVD to start making sheaths, want to know which tools to use and how to form the leather?

If they are still selling videos since the passing of Gene -

The one by Chuck Burrows is the best there is.

and I would also recommend those by fellow sheathmaker, Paul Long, which are available from Chris Crawford since IMO there is no single best way to make anything and Paul and I do differ in our approach, and Paul's also include using a sewing machine which I don't use.

I've been out of it too long. I didn't even know they were out. I will add them to my collection as well.

Thanks,
Jim

I highly recommend both. They are worth every penny - easy to follow but packed with lots of good info.

I picked up Chuck's video this past Christmas. Actually it was on my wish list and my daughter was sweet enough to indulge me with a minimum of eye-rolling. Super video! Watched it 3 times so far and I'm still picking up tips. Loaded with great info! Kudos to you, Chuck!

If you are looking for something that is not shown by these superlative gentlemen----stop looking!

In their field they have no peers!

That's not entirely true - I suspect both Chuck and Paul would point to Sandy as being in that class. The difference is that Sandy hasn't done a video.
