Good grind lines on that blade - but the sheath really catches my attention. Just how did you get the barbed wire pattern on the sheath? That looks really good.

Hahs, the wood is some mesquite root I cut and sent out to be stabilized, and the sheath is another story! My wife's son is in from Missouri, and she wouldn't let me stamp while he was still sleeping. So I went to the garage and stamped on the garage floor. It worked real good if you ask me. Lol!

Thanks for the info, I'll look at Tandy today for the barbwire stamp. Looks good.
edit: OK, I found the Tandy stamps and now understand more how the barbwire is made. Takes a set of 4 stamps, $40. Boy do you have to be careful lining up each stamp! You did GREAT!!! job with the barbwire! That mesquite wood looks good - do the sharp edges cause "hot spot" on the hand while cleaning deer? Ken Last edited by KenH; 12-26-2013 at 08:31 AM. |
