O-1 is very easy to heat treat yourself with minimal equipment like a propane torch, magnet, and vegetable oil, oh and a toaster oven or plain ole kitchen oven for tempering if you would like to give it a try, i`ll post the instruction on how I do it. 95 percent of my knives are O-1.
