Thanks Ed, but I can build one for very little.....approx. $200 or less due to all the free stuff I obtained from my nephew. There really isn't much to them as far as components, it would (will) be work and time for me though. I didn't look at the new one you referenced yet, but it's possible it may have too small of a chamber size. I will need a chamber length of 10-14". I don't really want the 8" long jewelry kiln chamber, it's just too small and a hassle to put a knife at an angle and still too expensive for what it is.
I just don't have $700 bucks to throw at a tiny knife kiln.....new or used.
I am of the belief that they charge way, way too much for little kilns in the first place.
I also believe that a used one should be in the range of 40-50% of a new one......still too much for me to spend since new ones with 14" chambers are approx. $1300.
