Direct from the Montana Knifemakers Association Show for 2004 is this prize winning Mithril Bowie. This work of art took the honors as Best Damascus Bowie, and it deserved it. With 15" of fantastic high contrast damascus the blade on this piece can't be missed. It is truly a work of fine forging to be studied. The walrus ivory handle is just the right size for just about any hand with fine stippling, and carving for that extra special added touch. The "D" guard itself is quite noticeable as it is heat colored bright blue. What a great color to offset everything else on this piece. The style of this piece definitely spells the word fighter quite prevalently. The sheath is also the handy work of Mr. Caffrey with its deep texturing, heavy tie loops and rugged construction. It fits the knife perfectly with all its curved glory.
