410ss mixture?

I have a question about using 410 in blades, I have never had a wide selection of stainless to experiment with usally just the standard 308, 309, 316 etc. Well I switched jobs and have access to all the 410ss I could ever need and have been researching its use in blades and would like to see how it combines with a powered 1085. Can anyone give me some insight as to the issues I might run into? What about the tempering? Would it be better to heat-treat the entire blade? I have never dealt with stainless in damascus before and would just like a few pointers so I know what to expect. Thanks!
