Loveless Style Drop Point Hunter and Utility Knife



Here are 2 knives that I just finished up for some clients
and thought I would share them with everyone.


Specifications:




  • Overall Length: 8 1/2""



  • Cutting Length:3 1/2"



  • Thickness at Ricasso: .156"
    (5/32")



  • Blade Material: ATS-34



  • Lanyard Thong Tube: Nickel Silver



  • Rockwell Hardness: RC-60



  • Guard Material: Nickel Silver



  • Handle Material: Green Canvas
    Micarta



  • Handle Pins: Loveless Style
    (stainless bolts with brass nuts)



  • Blade Finish: Mirror Finish with
    Deep Hollow Grind



  • Sheath: Brown Leather with Black
    edging for a professional look



  • Liner Material: Red Fiber Liners



  • Design: Classic Drop Point Loveless
    Style Hunter

I'm seeing a whole industry of knives dedicated to RW Loveless designs. Yours appear to be right at the top of the pack. Nice, Gilbert! Even the logo is a tribute.

Thanks everyone for the compliments. When I started to make knives I used Bob Loveless's book and that is the reason I make the style of knives that I do. Later on I got his video. I make these style of knives because I like the feel of them in the hand and they just are kind of magical in a way. I also do it in honour of Mr. Loveless as I appreciate his work although I never met him a probably never will but it would be great to meet him someday. I don't travel from home too much because of my condition but I love making knives and I very much enjoy this forum.
