Trackrock pictures Spring of 2010

Well here is the thread. I hope someone will post some pictures in it. How else are us poor souls, that couldn't be there, supposed to know what we missed?

Well there were alot of flashes going off (at least I hope that's what they were). I still haven't figured out how to hold a hammer and tongs and still take pictures, so I'm not much help in that department.
Hopefully some of the guys will load some up.
A friend of mine was doing some video of most of the things going on, but he's still in the editing stages. Maybe I'll get a copy sometime soon that I can share.

But in the meantime picture this: Two days of early spring, weather perfect, temp perfect, 10 or 11 anvils ringing, visitors-pointing-talking-asking questions, the smell of Anthony's BBQ flirting with the smoke from JC's coal forge working in the open bay, Ruth pounding out sheet copper into flowers in the bike bay, plenty of steel and heat and hammers, Dennis out front doing a filework demo, and several kids (young and not so young) getting their first taste of moving hot steel with a hammer.
Lots of folks you know and lots of folks you don't, all having fun and enjoying themselves.
Pretty much like always with better weather.

Dougie Adams won the Knife Raffle (still trying to figure that one out) and we had some pretty nice stuff on the ITH table with a lot of participants.

In short....you misssed it all.

This was number 16, by the way.

Thanks Carl, John! Wish I could have been there just to see the grin on Doug's face. Going to need to start charging him more for tickets.

3-Dad (the one and only Sandy)
4-Joshua Whitner, our local cat squeezer, providing dinner music
5-Doug Adams trying his first run at welding up cable damascus
6-RLo (Rick Lowe) taking a much needed breather
7-Mike Brown and Tom F. talking fire and steel
8-Your's truly wondering "Why there's air?"

Looks like another great time. Sure wish you could move that whole show out West to Colorado! I do plan on making it back there someday. Hope you all are well.
