Push Knife
Finished push knife KITH project. Double hollow ground, differentially heat treated 1095. Red axis stag handle, brass pins, 1095 shield inlay. Hand sanded to 800 grit them brown, white, and green buff for a high polish.
Pyle side has the KITH 2016 engraved in the riccasso, a friend allowed me to use his Gorton Pantograph. First time ive gotten to usey new KMG horizontal grider! Butter smooth! The chamfer if the tang portion that lays between the holders fingers. Worked like a charm! It's a monster of a push dagger at 1.5" wide and just shy of 6" OAL. Fantastic Photos were done by Tim Yates of Indianapolis! (Let me know if anyone might be interested I having Tim photograph for you) Merry Christmas! __________________ AT "We shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow, And watch where the chalk-white arrows go To the place where the sidewalk ends." I've admired your knives from afar Alex and this one is no exception. Your filet knife with the stabilized swordfish bill is what at first got my attention. I hope you caught the swordfish too.lol

Thank you for your kind words Sir. My father said he has really enjoyed having the filet knife.
I've have enjoyed all the aspects of this craft, and meeting a bunch of fine craftsmen on this forum. I hope to make many many more knives... Sure, I caught the swordfish (it may have been in a pile of other handle material at a friends shop...) __________________ AT "We shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow, And watch where the chalk-white arrows go To the place where the sidewalk ends."
