Falcon Scraps = Falconet

I'm getting a bit addicted to this design, and hate to be repetitive, but thought some of you might enjoy seeing how I employed a few leftover pieces of great Eggerling bolster damascus, and some mammoth ivory scraps.
The blade is 2" damasteel, with file worked blue & gold Ti liners, nitre bluing of the bolsters (or are they 3/4 scales?)and the knife is 2 1/2" closed

Kelly-

I've got news for you, I'm addicted to this design as well.

With the falconet's small size you have the luxury of being able to salvage some very nice scraps indeed. I really love what you're doing with the Nitre blue salts...works teriffic on this one. That elongated bolster is a trip!

Can't wait to see these again in person on your table at Blade.

when does a bolster become a scale?
nice work, kelly. with the cost of materials increasing faster than the speed of light, we have to use every little piece for something. good idea.
thanx

Thanks, guys.
As the components were largely leftover pieces, I hadn't figured out the costs, but your comment, Wayne, made me curious, and I figure this diminutive knife has about $ 85 of material costs, plus, thanks to my limited dexterity with small parts, double the labor of a full sized folder.
As my hands are now completely cramped after doing a series of these small ones, tomorrow I'll resume making full sized folders.
