Finally! Some real Winter in Montana!

After last year, and not even taking my snow plow out of the shop, here's what's happening right now!
(that pic was taken looking out the finish shop door)

Prediction is for 8-14" by Saturday morning, but if it keeps coming down like this, we'll get that by tomorrow morning. Glad I took the time yesterday to tune up the ATV and put the snow plow on it!

Your place looks like mine. We've got about 4 inches on the ground right now and 4-7 more predicted.

Gee, Ed, I thought you were getting better and now you're getting excited about winter.

Now wonder you mentioned the birds were moving on chat. They scooted out of town just before the little front here. Crank up the stove.

I'm jelous. I love lots of snow. If your forcast is right, you will already have more snow than I had at my place in probably the past 3 years... and I live in Canada!!!

Don't know why, but I like the cold and snow! Maybe because it makes working in the forging shop such a nice experience....it can be -20 outside, with a foot of snow, and I can be down to my T-shirt and sweating! I know....doesn't take much to excite me.

Looks good, Ed. We are supposed to get some weather this weekend. Hopefully, it'll include some of that Montana snow. It's been so dry here we had to we've had to keep watering to keep the grass from croaking.

I don't know. I've got a great-niece who want's to move to Montana. She has every since she was in high school. Of course she's never lived anywhere colder than the DC area and she wasn't very old when her family moved from there to Florida. It will be interesting to hear about her first Montana winter if she gets to make the move there. Illinois is cold enough for me.

I think your storm may be moving to my neck of the woods today. We really need it!
I've got 3+ cords stacked & ready... bring it on.

Still snowing today!

Pushing close to a foot of snow now....with predictions to keep snowing until early Saturday morning!
The bad part is the winds are kicking up to 45-50mph.....that'll make it nasty out there.

Gotta go dig out Mom's house when it gets light, and then I suppose I'll get to "play" on the ATV plowing.

Eesh.....you can have all that cold, nasty snow, Ed . Glad you at least enjoy it and I can certainly imagine it making the forging better than the middle of summer. Enjoy some time by the fire with Boomer and Hammer-guessing they have some fun playing in all that white stuff.

Hammer really loves it....but Boomer is a woosie....he runs out, lifting his feet, does his thing and runs back to the door as if to say "OPEN THE DOOR!!!" "LET ME IN!"

7F here right now, still snowing lightly, with today's high predicted for about 11F. The forge will certainly be fired up today!

Burrrr, the high speed stippling kind not the great hunting weather. Safe, smooth and easy trip tomorrow. Don't turn your back on anyone cause there might be a gloved finger coming at you. I just know a new bunch of eyes and ears will help figure stuff out.

Take care, Craig
