Got my Squirt today and just stumbled on this thread, so off to KnifeKits.com I went to order the spring and drill bit.
Making the Squirt into an Automatic will make it one sweet little knife. |

Has anyone been successful in converting the Squirt to an auto?
I drilled out the hole in the blade with a 3/64 spade bit and tried to install the .357 coil spring, but the darn spring is to tall and will not stay in the recess. I tried shorting the coil and that did not work either. If someone has gotten it to work, can you tell me your secret. |

Order the .375 Mega spring. it's not as tall as the high torq and fits the recess.

I tried the High Torque which has a stack height of 0.135 but the Mega Torque has a stack height of 0.174. Am I missing something, I am a novice at knife making/modification?

Correction, I should have said the Maxx torque spring. My bad. Call CKK Industries at (877) 255-6433. They will set you straight.
