Guthook blade kit

Has anyone had any experience with the big bend guthook blade kit from Texas Knife Supply? I have a boss that is an avid hunter and loves a good guthook blade. Thought I might get a couple cool points if I give him a good knife! Any info would be great! Thanks guys!

DP- I don't have any direct experience witht the big bend, but they list the steel as 440 not 440C. There is a pretty big difference - 440C is considered far superior. It may just be a misprint, but I would at leat call them first. If you really want a gut hook take a look at Sierra guthook from knifekits.com. Here's the link http://www.knifekits.com/vcom/produc...roducts_id=879 -it's a few buck more, but comes with bolsters and is 440C. Hope that helps!

...or you could get a regular fixed blade and a round file and go to town. Or if you have a dremel you can pick up their chainsaw filing stones - that's what I use if I'm putting a gut hook on one of my blades.
