Alright!
Heres the scoop.
There will be a new DDRII upgrade coming out.
The blade finishes are 100 percent better. The rest of the knife is superb.
We will be offering a Tanto blade for this knife
The new knife will be in within 60 days.
We will be taking prereserves on it soon.

We are in the process of making the smaller ddr3 bl.
It will have around a 3 inch blade.
It will be our next evolution in bl knives.
We have Several other things in the works.
Please watch the site.

WhooHooo!
a tanto! (I'm getting into japannese styles..)

I also like the idea of the smaller one, the big one is kinda bulky in the pocket.

Ed,
They are made the traditional way.
The Hamon is achieved in the heat treat along with the curved edge.
The blade is NOT flat. Checking it with a hardness checker is next to impossible.
I can say I tested the edge and back with file type hardness checkers .
The edge is hard 57-60 rc, the back is spring 40-45 rc.
The polish ... I was not there to see how it was done sorry.
They are made very well. The blood groove is fantastic also.

Hi!
What is the latest news regarding the "DDR2.5 Button Release Kit"??
Any release date in the near future?
I have been looking for a "nice" litle kit folder since the DDR3 seems to be to big to pass easily into a pocket
I have been considering the 605mini kit (DDR2!?) which seems to be just right in size. However, it seems more then a litle bit silly to go ahead and buy that kit (even if it a GOOD kit) if a "upgrade" is on its way... Now the question is just how long I have to/can wait

Regards
Johan

Didn't want to steal Darrel's thunder, but the new ddr2's are up for pre order!

Great looking knives.

I can't see much of a change in the standard model, other than a smaller lock cut gap and a more precise blade grind (less rounded at thumb stud).

Will there be a stainless backspine offered?

I love this model and will be pre-ordering several for Xmas gifting.

Thanks Darrel!

Mike
