Tutorial : Posting thumbnail for thread preview

We offer preview thumbnails on certain forums to allow for the posting of a preview image on the threads list. This makes for a great way to show the viewer a quick-view of the contents of the thread. This tutorial will show you how to do it.

This tutorial assumes that you've read the tutorial on Photo Posting

Image #1) Thumbnail previews on threads list.

Image #2) Shows the Thumbnail URL box below the Title. Also, shows pasted image code in body of post where full sized image will appear.

Image #3) When you place an image in your personal photo album at KnifeNetwork, the script will automatically create a thumbnail image. This image is the preferred size (120 wide) for direct use in the Thumbnail URL box. You can right-click on any of these thumbnails and copy the url (not the exact part of the url that you should copy - do not copy the full address, but only up to the part where the file type is completed. - see example from Image #2)

Image #4) When you create a new image in your personal album, the full sized image page will display URL and BB code. These can be copied and pasted in new posts for image display. They can also be used for posting on other websites.

This is an update to the above example, where you can use your personal gallery thumbnails as your thread preview thumb image. Why do you want a thumbnail image on your threads? Because more people click them, by far!!!
