Trish, Hope you don't think thats some old fart impersonator, thats the real thing!
OK, I confess. This picture was taken at an adult care center. The fellow that usually does the Santa broke his leg a few days before. Anyway I got asked to be Santa, thought about it for a few minutes and said I would fill in. My first Santa gig. All the residents at this facility have altzhimers and most wern't much older than myself. This is something to make you appreciate what you got. If asked again next year I'll gladly do it. I'll let my beard go wild........ |

Good for you Ray!
I was Santa at the mall here at home for a few years, got a big kick out of doing it, was asked to come to a Christmas Party for a childrens home for the mentaly handicaped, was one of the most humbling days of my life, these kids had all pitched in and made Santa a quilt with each of them making their own square. It is and always will be one of my most prized possesions! We keep it stored and only bring it out for Christmas, I get a little misty every time I get it out. Kinda of amazing what you can learn from a child isn't it. Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas to You All! God Bless Mike __________________ "I cherish the Hammer of Thor, but I praise the hand of God" |
