My first knife
Hey guys,
I just finished making my first knife and made a video of the process. i got a lot of tips from the forum in general, so I would like to thank everyone who posted tutorials and general information on knife making. I think you did an excellent job !!!
I am no master like others, but the first thing that I saw of concern is the handle area by the choil. It looks pretty defined and pointed. In my opinion, if you took the front of the handle and took the face slowly down to 20 degrees or so and rounded out the edges, it think it would be more pleasing to the eyes and feel better in the hands. To get the epoxy off around the facing, just take a brass rod and put a chisel cut at 45 degrees and scrape it off. It will not scratch it your metal. Great job on the satin finish, looks pro |

Thanks for the tip on how to remove the epoxy. it is killing me but I couldn't find a way of scraping it without hurting the blade!
As for the handle, If it starts bothering me when in use, I'll try rounding it off, but I kind of like the pointy edges =D |
